Peace Bytes visit Brussels

Peace Bytes visit Brussels

On 14-15th March 2019, young people and staff from the Peace Bytes project traveled to Brussels to share their experiences at an event showcasing the impact of PEACE funded projects.

Oonagh McAlister, Peace Bytes Co-Ordinator, traveled from Derry/Londonderry with Charlotte & Harley, who both took part in the project during 2018. They were hosted by the Special European Union Projects Body (SEUPB), who manage the project’s funding, and visited the European Commission building where they spoke about the impact that Peace Bytes has had on its participants and the importance of the PEACE IV funding to Northern Ireland.

It was a hectic schedule with a lot of activity- including plenty of travel – packed in to two days. You can view a video showcasing the trip below, put together by Harley, who was also involved in the filming and editing of the short film The Effect of Silence for World Mental Health Day 2018 while on Peace Bytes.
