Understanding Aspects of Citizenship

Young people from Newlodge Bytes and Carrickferrgus Community Centre gained a OCN Level 1 in Understanding Aspects of Citizenship. The four modules that were incorporated in this qualification were:&nbs p;Understand that individuals have rights and responsibilities.- Demonstrate an awareness of equal opportunity issues.- Describe how local and national government works.- Understand the range of public services available in the local community. Both groups came together at the start and end of this project to build relationships. We went on outings to Laser Quest, Cinema and then on a residential to Todd's Leap which was very enjoyable.
