OCN Level 1 Understanding Young People as Peer Mentors

Eleven young people sucessfully completed thier OCN Level 1 in Peer Mentoring. The group worked well together through out and enjoyed the work involved in this six week project.In the first week the group created a contract, discussed what a peer leader is, and discussed the expectations of the project. The group used flipchart to record what they thought confidentiality and boundaries are for Peer Mentors. They also listed the organisations that they would signpost their peers to. As part of the project the group met with Saintfield Foyer for an activity day go-karting and a residential to East-Coast in Rostrevor.
