OCN Level 2 Drug Awareness

This project was an OCN level 2 accredited course in Drug Awareness and was delivered by Community Orientated Drug Awareness. The group examined many different issues of drug awareness, which included legal consequences of drug misuse, physical and psychological effects of drug misuse and also intervention strategies and processes for dealing with drug misuse. The four young people that completed the project were rewarded by a night out at the Odyssey with young people from Tullycarnet Bytes, which included dinner at the Red Panda and a game of bowls. Well done to the following that completed their portfolios on 27/03/07: Liam Lawlor, Piaras Smyth, Dane Smyth, William Coulter. The photograph above is of the young people exploring the dangers of alcohol abuse and binge drinking. The young people were asked to arrange the alcohol in accordance to how strong they thought it might be. Suzanne then showed them the actual arrangement and they were quite shocked at how strong certain drinks were, especially Alco-pops. |
