The users have recently finished the History of the Short Strand project. This particular project centred around the users knowledge of the Short Strand not in political terms but in how the area has determined to whatever extent in how these young people have grown up, e.g. beliefs, values, concerns etc. The users also engaged in an activity whereby they traced their family names as far back as possible and it was discovered that one user was able to trace a direct lineage straight back to Rory O Connor the one time high King of Ireland. The King is dead long live the King!!! |
