The BYTES project was awarded funding from the International Fund for Ireland under the Integrating Community Organisations Programme.
‘Integrating Communities’ is a programme managed by the Northern Ireland Rural Development Council (RDC) and funded by the International Fund for Ireland. It is designed to facilitate community organisations that wish to co operate on a cross border and/or cross community basis to work on issues of common interest and undertake joint projects.
Seven Young people from Rathcoole took part in the programme along with 10 young people from Derry Bytes and 10 from Newtowncunningham Youth Club.
Suring the programme the young people completed:
- OCN Level 1 Cultural Diversity
- Youth Achievement Bronze Award
- A Drugs and Alcohol Awareness Project
The young people also completed a residential, which took place at Ganaway Activity centre in Millisle.
