Final Farewell

it was a glorious day at the final celebration event, held at Belfast Activity Centre in June 2011.
Young people from Short Strand, Shankill, Poleglass and Donegal all attended the final celebration event at Belfast Activity Centre. The weather was glorious and the young people thoroughly enjoyed meeting up again and taking part in some outdoor activities. Sean McGrory from Inishowen Development Partnership spoke about the importance of continued cross border work and about what had been achieved through the Foundation for Reconciliation programme. A young person from Poleglass Bytes who had been a past participant in the programme, and recently involved in a suicide awareness campaign, used this time to tell others his story and invite them to contribute to the on-line campaign. It was great to see young people from different cultural backgrounds united for an extremely good and necessary cause.
