The Inaugural Bytes Project Armchair Manager Lifts Trophy
Service users and staff from both The Bytes Project and The Simon Community have taken part in The World Cup Dream Team 2010. July saw the climax of the tournament and The Bytes Project Armchair Manager was crowned. After six weeks dominating the top of the table, Declan Morris from The Simon Community was just beaten to the winning post by Bytes service user, Mr Patrick Nalty. The trophy was presented to Patrick along with a Tesco's voucher donated by The Simon Community. The activity helped to inspire enthusiasm about the World Cup and promote lively discussion within The Bytes Project which involved service users, Bytes staff and Simon staff. in addition, the activity supported the development of numeracy and budgeting skills as a significant aspect to the exercise was calculating points and purchasing players with a set amount of funds.
