Counselling for young people. Derry Bytes
Derry Bytes and Men's Action Network have joined up to provided young homeless 16 -25 years old with one hundred hours of free Counseling support. This service is provided on a weekly basis and counties until the end of April 2010. This service became available after the staff @ Derry Bytes identified the need for counseling support, as a lot of the young people that they work face a multiplicity of pressures in their daily lives. These issues can range from problems in relationships, finding work or training, difficulties in communicating with their family, pressure from peers to take drugs, feeling down or depressed, therefore the Derry Bytes staff and Men’s Action Network would like to assist the young people in coping with whatever difficulties, they may face. More often than not young people feel isolated or excluded when trying to solve and deal with these problems.
