"Hey folks,
Thomas here to say a few words about the cross border project. What can I say other than it was fantastic. With activities like team building, web design, day trips and information sessions, you can’t go wrong. It was a great opportunity to meet new people, learn new skills and basically have a good time. Some say that there is nothing for young people to do in this city, but this project is proof that there is plenty to do and you don’t even have to spend a penny to take part. I would recommend it to anyone who is unemployed with too much time on their hands".

"Really good - glad I took part and would recommend it to others!"  Brenda

"Hi!  My name is
Stephen and I thought the Cross Border project was brilliant.  During the 17 weeks it helped me make new friends from 'down south' and I particularly enjoyed going paint-balling, and also the go-karting during the residential.  I would recommend this programme to anyone that is looking to learn new stuff and enjoy a bit of fun".

"My name is Janice and I was in the Cross Border Project between February - May 2004.  I really enjoyed the paint-balling and the other outdoor activities the most.  I now hope to return to education in the very near future!"

"I thought that the Project was really good - a good mix of ICT, personal development and outdoor activities.  When's the next one!?!?"
Charmaine

"Hey people what’s going on?
Ruth here, yes that's right - the one and onlyJust wanted to say a few words about the cross border group.  I personally got a lot out of it.  I think the group achieved what it set out to do - get another Border Bytes newsletter on the news-stand and get the website up and running.   If I had the opportunity, I would do it again.  Doing this project can give you the opportunity to meet new people for north and south of the border.  If u r given the opportunity, you should do the project.  Do it - it is worth it!"

"My name is Chipper!  I really enjoyed the project because we got to shoot the leaders and everyone else during the paint-balling!  Seriously though, I think that this project has been a big success.  The project has inspired me to look at working with computers and young people.  I would love to be able to take young people away on outings and residentials.  I would like to get young people to meet up and make new friends - just like I did when I had the opportunity in this project".  (
Christopher)

"Absolutely fantastic - I had a wonderful time.  Well worthwhile and something positive and constructive for the youth of Inishowen, and Derry - of course!"  Neil

"Great craic, great fun - but also a very core educational dimension to it all.  A great bunch of people involved, a good range of topics and activities and there was also the web page skills.  Well worth a crack at!"
  Phil

"I thought the Project was excellent and hope to help out in future programmes.  Very worthwhile and I would recommend it to anyone.  It had the lot - IT skills, Personal Development, Outdoor Activities and of course the residential!"  Martyn

"Excellent altogther - interesting and a fun!"  Emmett
