The group works with 16-25 year old unemployed young people and use ICT as a tool to help these young people to improve their personal development skills to provide opportunities which engage marginalise/disaffected young people from the local area to accelerate young peoples personal and social development providing stimulating project work.
Set up in June 1993, the Bytes project is a unique initiative that offers free, unlimited access to information technology in a non-pressurised environment, to young people aged from 16 – 25 who have left full time education and are not participating in further education, training or employment and are felt to be at risk in the community.
